Open Area Test Site(OATS)

The Open Area Test Site (OATS) is the standard test site stipulated in the EMC test standard, based on the theory that the direct wave in space and the reflected wave on the ground are superimposed at the receiving point. Due to the influence of the electromagnetic environment, it is currently difficult to find outdoor sites that meet the standard requirements. Most of them use the Anechoic Chamber as an alternative test site that meets the standards.

Main application areas

EMC antenna calibration and measurement, EMC test site, various types of outdoor antenna test ranges, automotive AM/FM/DAB antenna testing; used for antenna metrology and certification, as well as EMC performance testing for large equipment and complete vehicles.
